Hello everyone! 👋
We’re excited to announce that PenEngineering is taking the initiative to build and expand The Things Network in Moldova, starting right here in Chișinău! 🇲🇩
As pioneers in the local IoT ecosystem, we’re launching Akira
— an open-source operating system that natively supports LoRa connectivity and is designed for scalable, low-power IoT applications.
Our goal is to:
🏗️ Build a LoRaWAN infrastructure that empowers developers, startups, and communities.
🌍 Enable real-world IoT applications — from smart agriculture and air quality monitoring to city-wide sensor networks.
🤝 Grow a collaborative TTN Chisinau community that contributes knowledge, gateways, and projects.
If you’re passionate about IoT, wireless tech, or open-source innovation, we’d love for you to join us and help shape the future of connected technology in Moldova.
Stay tuned for updates, and feel free to explore Akira here:
