Hallo Community !

[JN]

Hello community!
In the meantime, a few people seem to have panic and are frantically trying to move devices and gateways. Here again some important information for you, in a nutshell:

  • Don't panic - nobody will switch off v2 from now on
  • New devices should be created immediately in v3
  • existing devices should use OTAA, makes the move to v3 easier
  • start migrating your devices and applications to v3
  • Contact us if you have any questions - we will be happy to help!
  • Gateways, which represent the infrastructure for the community, are not yet moved - we will announce this before - this is how all gateway operators should proceed and talk about BEFORE the move in Slack!

Of course there are a lot of unanswered questions and some will face small and large challenges to carry out this step themselves. Caspar, Daniel and I have now successfully moved a lot of devices and discovered various stumbling blocks. We are happy to help you and pass our experience on to you - just talk to us. [JN]
