TTIG packetlosses

Hey Guys,
I am having a TTIG and just one node that doesn’t post a lot,
like once every few hours.
It seems that the connection of TTIG to TTN gets lost or something.
I don’t know how it’s possible, but i have a lot of packet losses in this communication.
And strangely after i send a few packets with shorter time interval the packets seem to be coming through.
known issue? Any help anybody?
Should i update the FW?

Thanks,

Wim

Have you considered reading the generic TTIG thread in stead of asking? If you do you would find this message regarding connection behavior.

Thanks for the input, no i didn’t read that so far

but the problem is that my gateway simply doesn’t push the message to the server,
not even after connecting as a retry.
the packet is simply lost… shouldn’t that gateway buffer the packet it recieves, connect to websocket, and send it?
I have one of the earliest models, could that be the problem?

thanks

Wim

I noticed the same behavior. I’m considering setting up a small Lora device that periodically sends a “keep alive” transmission to keep the gateway connected.

if this is true, this is a design flaw in my opinion.
it’s not because you are not connected to WS that the gateway couldn’t buffer that packet.

ok people of TTN, is it possible to either adapt this gateway to buffer a message or to pay you guys to keep that WS open?

thanks,

Wim
