Yes it is. More info on the given link below

is it possible to connect one gateway to other gateways ?

Hi all,

I am currently reside in Nusajaya and I have a plan to setup a LoraWAN gateway. May I know anybody here could guide me the entire process from where to buy and what to buy, installation and setup of the gateway and server? I plan to setup the gateway on top of rooftop. Please advise. Thanks!

hi, can you share the testing result with risinghf? thanks

I was testing risinghf gateway module. I have carried out the test on 5 modules my company has purchased. 1 defective, 2 working well, and another 2 works with little issue, i.e. the module will reset unexpectedly in the middle of progress. The issue might come from the Raspberry Pi adapter that I developed myself, so the issue is still being investigated. In short, those modules are good for education, DIY, demonstration purpose. But for larger application, I would always suggest an industrial grade gateway . What do you guys think?

You can always build a carrier board based on the compute module especially the one with the built-in flash rather than microSD and use the RisingRF concentrator RF board. I believe their complete gateway offering is based on some thing similar but I could be wrong as I didnā€™t manage to get my hands on them (pricy). They did mention it runs on Debian though.

just test the demo kit with raspi 3. so far ok. using as920 json. need help to define sk920. (south korea as it is similar to usā€¦ about similar. some more lorawan server (gotthard) supporting it now. anyone? - waiting for MCMC to define like foreverā€¦

what json config you using? us915?

Malaysia should use the AS920-923 gateway configuration: https://github.com/TheThingsNetwork/gateway-conf/blob/master/AS1-global_conf.json

South Korea should use the frequency plan described in https://www.thethingsnetwork.org/wiki/LoRaWAN/Frequencies#lorawan-frequencies_south-korea-920-923-mhz_frequency-plan. Thereā€™s not config file yet, but feel free to create it and submit a pull request.

Hi there. Iā€™m a student here. Just have few questions if you donā€™t mind to answer.

  1. If I want to use raspberry pi, do I have to buy RPI to arduino bridge (libellium) in order to use the lora module sell by cytron? Is there any other bridge sell or ways (DIY?) to use lora module with RPI? Does anyone know where to buy the bridge in Malaysia?

  2. My raspberry pi already have NFC reader on it, can it possible to combine with lora module too? Should I use 2 RPI separately?

  3. Can we DIY mini lora gateway that use Malaysia frequency? I donā€™t really understand the lora server part. Do we need to be in LoRaWAN perimeter to access data in server? Or we just need internet to do so?

Sorry if my questions doesnā€™t make sense or maybe very noobā€¦ I just want to get some clarification and gather Info for my projectā€¦

Thanks in advance

Hi. I am Jan Geirnaert. Belgian in Malaysia. I would like to know which type of Lora Device I can setup as gateway. Consider me a newbie. Regards. Jan

I have tried to contact their phone number but no one answered. Is there a way to confirm with the authority that 920-923MHz are allowed in Malaysia?

Secondly, if I use a RFM95, can I use it to transmit signal in the 920-923MHz band?

Thanks,

Mubarak Kazmin

Hai, I am quite new in this field. Looking to set up a gateway in Nusajaya, Johor with my lecturer. May I know, can I use RFM95 to operate at the prescribed 920-923MHz band?

Secondly, what are other alternative I have to set up a 915MHz gateway other than using a Raspberri Pi and a RFM95? Can I use the Raspberry Pi and Cytron LoRa Shield (https://www.cytron.com.my/p-shield-lora-rfm?search=lora%20shield&description=1&sort=relevance&order=DESC) for that purpose? It seems quite similar to the Dragino shield used in many other projects.

Hope to learn more from you all.
