Long time no see :')
I’m selling some old stuff taking space on my shelves and found my Rak Gateway waiting there for a new owner
It’s an old version that is not produced anymore. It contains a raspberry pi 3 and a Rak831 LPWAN module.
You can read my post when I was looking to buy a gateway here.
It’s in top condition, never left home, has always been inside but it’s sold without a plug.
I bought it back then around 200e, I’m selling it 65e + shipping from France. Please feel free to tell me if it’s nowhere near its value. I’m not aware of the new stuff out here nowadays :')
Trust you had fun with LoRaWAN/TTN while its lasted - do you still use? (You were looking at pro use last time I saw).
Still rate the SX1301 and associated builds inc the RAK units. Had 2 of the original units die a few years back - mostly my fault I guess (I abused and used for rapid test & deploy trial set ups). Still have aro a dozen deployed in anger and generating 100’sk packets every year. I typically pick old SX1301 units (for later community deployment or loan-out) from ~£30-60 depending on build so you may be a bit high at €100. There is a lot of competition at €100-160 for brand new these days - and with later tech inside - 2nd hand 25-35% of new depending on build/manufacturer.
From where so those interested can judge - France or Belgium IIRC?!
It’s a well used work-horse for TTN so lots of coverage on this Forum* (use search) and in the TTI GW docs and also on the RAK support/documentation site…. search/GIYF!
TL:DR * a good start point is The hard RAK831 cafe part 3 - note early stuff will refer to use with TTN V2 (Sunset Dec 2020) vs current TTN V3 - main difference in real terms is targetting the correct TTN (TTS(Sandbox)) server - where you see target server as e.g. “router.the……” typically change (in your case) to “eu1.cloud…..” based console/server, again search and check the documentation.
