The range record is significantly higher, but this short test still impressed me.
I hiked up Égés-tető mountain (833 m) in Hungary. It is located about 60 km north of Budapest.
There, I put the Wio-E5 Development Kit with the original SMA antenna into operation.
I was able to reach the gateway in Györ, 103 km away.

Its not every day that from out the Blue you Receive an e-mail threw the Local HAM Group that our local Gateway received someone from 103km away. 
Some technical details from the setup:
RAK 2245 + RPi 3,
RAK 5.8dBi Outdoor LoRaWAN 868MHz Antenna
Placement: Local WISP Tower. (Attached some picture from the “local view”)
