Im trying to connect my TTIG to the network. I have configured it through WIFI but the LED keeps blinking, indicating that its either downloading firmware or connecting. I tried to factory reset but no results. Is there anything obvious that I’m missing?
Have you claimed it on the network server?
i have the same issue, i have claimed and the TTIG is connected to Wifi. in the Firewall i see 2 connections from the TTIG to 52.169.76.203:443 TCP with 2KiB volume
The LED is Flashing and every x minutes it is flashing red/green
The device was more then 3 years offline.

How fast, what colour? This will tell you in the docs what the state of it is.
GREEN Blinking (freq 1/4 sec) GW Connected to WiFi, establishing connection to LNS/configuring radio
I claimed it and followed every step here: The Things Indoor Gateway | The Things Stack for LoRaWAN
You’ve quoted @freezweb’s firewall info - do you see the same thing.
As above, for your flashing LED, how fast, what colour.
@descartes GREEN/RED Alternate Blinking (freq 1/4 sec)
eventualy a old firmware that need a manual update?
how can i fix the connection?
manipulate the DNS response to a another ip?
The usual suggestion, as forum search should reveal, is to try the TTIG on another network.
At present the flashing says “I’m waiting for you to connect to me” or “Scanning WiFi networks, setting up Config AP” per the docs.
Tethering to a mobile phone is a good test.
Firmware updates come down the wire once a connection is established.
Has the TTIG stopped the red/green flashing? What is the LED doing now?
After plugging it in, it blinks orange, then green slowly, then orange quickly, and then green quickly. However, at least it no longer keeps switching back to orange blinking (at least I haven’t seen it do so anymore).
It’s not clear what the final state is - once it settles down, what is the LED doing - please don’t say what happens on startup, just what it finishes at.
fast green blinking
sorry now is again orange/green blinking
So in theory you now wait up to 24 hours for it to initialise. Sometimes restarting it can make this happen quite quickly. But if it doesn’t show the setup / credentials on the gateway page within 24 hours, it may be time to return to vendor.
i say it again, it was 3 years powered off. no vendor will change it…
Sorry, I can’t keep all the details of all the threads across all the fora I answer on in my head.
Let’s see what happens. You could, in the meanwhile, research adding the serial debug connector to see how you feel about going low level with a soldering iron.
How about reflashing the firmware? Isn’t that possible?
