Introduction

This post will describe how to connect a Multitech Conduit with built in cellular modem to the internet through a cellular connection (GPRS, 3G, LTE).

A cellular connection, if you can afford it, is a great way to ensure your gateway can connect from remote locations where you might not have fixed line internet nearby. It can also be useful for quick or temporary deployments.

However, after testing it, we found the Multitech's cellular Conduit to be unstable on some circonstances. Multitech's recommended configuration procedure didn't work for us - we had to change several elements in the configuration to make it work, and it was still unstable (for example, still required an Ethernet connection during boot). Even though this might not work for everyone, we decided to share it as a possible solution.

If you have a different experience with the Multitech Conduit's cellular connection, share it with the rest of the community on this forum post!
