Our story
We want to build Boston's role as a global Internet of Thing development Hub, and bring the IoT's benefits to every neighborhood.
Boston is already ranked as the world's 4th largest home of IoT companies, and we want to build on this reputation by providing a free citywide IoT data network to make the entire city an IoT sandbox/laboratory. Our Boston IoT Meetup will be the nucleus of the campaign, and, while working separately from the Walsh Administration, we hope to build on the worldwide attention that the innovative apps and services developed by the Mayor's Office of the New Urban Mechanics have earned. It will take active support from the business community and the neighborhoods to make this dream a reality.
