LoRaWAN® Regional Parameters v1.1rB (PDF Link)

Here is a list of all LoRaWAN Regional Parameter versions that can be selected in The Things Network console:

  • TS001 Technical Specification 1.0.1 (regional parameters included within)
  • RP001 Regional Parameters 1.0.2
  • RP001 Regional Parameters 1.0.2 revision B
  • RP001 Regional Parameters 1.1 revision A
  • RP001 Regional Parameters 1.1 revision B
  • RP001 Regional Parameters 1.0.3 revision A
  • RP002 Regional Parameters 1.0.0
  • RP002 Regional Parameters 1.0.1
  • RP002 Regional Parameters 1.0.2
  • RP002 Regional Parameters 1.0.3
  • RP002 Regional Parameters 1.0.4

All documents for the versions, excluding RP001 Regional Parameters 1.1 revision B are available from the Technical Specifications page on the LoRa Alliance website, the reason why not clear to me.

Through some internet archaeology, I found this post on the The Things Network Luxembourg community page with a link to it, which is no longer available:

Using the Wayback Machine, I was able to view the PDF, available at:

Question → Is there any reason why RP001 Regional Parameters 1.1 revision B is not available on the LoRa Alliance website like the other Regional Parameter versions? I’m assuming it is a valid Regional Parameter version considering it is available as an option on The Things Network.

Old forum link referencing v1.1rB:

Surely the people to ask are the L-A team? We (TTN Forumites & users) nor the TTI/TTN Core team woud be responsible or decide what L-A decide to put on their website/archives! :man_shrugging:

This is a yes-no question without any context so we have no idea what you have in mind, directed to people unlikely to have the definitive answer.

But, to clarify, the answer is YES, there is a reason, there is almost always a reason, technical, mistake, business decision, lack of web space, whatever.

As @Jeff-UK says, if you want to know the WHY, best ask the LA web team as they will know definitively.

Please look at what you are posting / asking. Take that step back to check you’ve put some context as almost all esoteric questions require that context to make any sense. And as you are more likely to want to know what the reason is, rather than if one exists, use what rather than is.

The use of LW 1.1 is almost entirely confined to Bolton, parts of the Thames Valley and Veenendaal, most devices are on 1.0.2 or 1.0.3 with a small number <3% on 1.0.4, so the body of knowledge is quite limited.
