Auto-Migration of The Things Indoor Gateways

Today we started auto-migrating TTIGs from The Things Network V2 to The Things Stack Community Edition.

In order for your gateway to be picked up by the auto-migration tool, it needs to meet the following conditions:

  • The gateway is registered on The Things Network V2
  • The gateway was registered (on V2) by a user that signed into The Things Stack Community Edition (V3) with The Things ID at least once.
  • The gateway is a TTIG (the EUI starts with 58A0CBFFFE8)
  • The gateway is connected (online) to The Things Network V2
  • The gateway ID (eui-58a0cbfffe8...) is not registered in The Things Stack Community Edition (V3)
  • The gateway EUI (58A0CBFFFE8...) is not registered in The Things Stack Community Edition (V3)

After the auto-migration tool migrates a gateway, you will be able to see the gateway in the Console.

  • The ID of the gateway will be eui-58a0cbfffe8....
You can not change the ID. If you have the claim authentication code (the WiFi password) of your gateway, you can delete the auto-migrated registration and follow the gateway claiming process to claim it again using a different ID.
  • The Name of the gateway will be “Auto-Migrated TTIG 58a0cbfffe8…”
    You can change this.
  • The gateway has the organization ttig-migration as a collaborator
    You can remove this.

NOTE: After auto-migration, it may take up to 24 hours for the gateway to connect to The Things Stack Community Edition (V3).
