Birmingham, Alabama is a little city with huge potential. A recipient of IBM's Smarter Cities Challenge grant, Birmingham has a small but growing tech community that is bursting with new ideas. If we are going to realize the true potential of our city, we'll need open infrastructure that allows innovators to test and deploy their ideas with as little friction as possible.
